Camels are the ships of the desert. Camels were domesticated more than 3,000 years ago and are used to transport goods across deserts and other arid environments.

  • Camels can travel as fast as horses but have a better endurance.
  • Dromedary camels are also called Arabian camels. 
  • Dromedary camels have one hump, while Bactrian camels have two humps.
