Homeschool at the Zoo (HATZ)
This bi-monthly program invites homeschool students ages 6-12 to explore diverse animal habits and their unique ecosystems. This is a wonderful hands-on learning experience your child won't want to miss! HATZ take place the first Thursday of the months listed below

January: Conservation Station
Conservation! Preservation! Education! These are fundamental values most zoos carry in their mission. What is an endangered species? How can we help? March: The Vertebrate 5
What’s a vertebrate? The answer is always behind you! Come out to the Amarillo Zoo and discover the adaptations and characteristics of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and fish through animal encounters and activities.
May: Extraordinary Invertebrates
