Earth Day: Thompson Park Clean-up - April 24th, 2021
Celebrate Earth Day by serving your community! Volunteer to help the Amarillo Zoo clean up Thompson Park.

  • Time: 9-12; Lunch will be provided.

  • Email us at [email protected] with your contact information, group and group size (if applicable). We will send you a confirmation. 

Endangered Species Day - May 22nd, 2021
Join us as we celebrate diverse wildlife and raise awareness for threatened and endangered wildlife.

  • Time: 9:30-3pm
  • Regular Admission applies.

#InternationalCatDay - August 8th, 2021
The Zoo's big cats are celebrating in a big way during International Cat Day! Watch them interact with special enrichment and learn more about their species!

Boo at the Zoo - October 28th-30th, 2021
Celebrate Halloween at the Zoo!

The Amarillo Zoo is located in Thompson Park. Take Hwy 287 North off of I-40, take the N. 24th Ave. exit and go West, turn right into Thompson Park and follow the signs to the Zoo parking lot.
