Roach Your Ex - February 12th, 2022
Was your ex a creepy, crawly creature? Well, let us help you out with that healing process. Join us for our Roach Your Ex event. We will be feeding a cricket, mouse, pinkie mouse, or rat named after your ex to an ACTUAL snake (all shade intended). For just a few dollars, you can say goodbye to that rat for good! Critters & Canvases - February 12th, 2022

Looking for a fun Valentine's Day date?! Take your special someone to the Amarillo Zoo for a fun night of painting, light snacks, and animal encounters. Join Melissa Haney, from the Dandelion Studio, and zoo staff on February 12th from 7:00pm to 9:30pm.

Light snacks and all art supplies are provided for this event.
Registration opens January 19th! 

Spring Break at the Zoo! - March 14-18th, 2022
Looing for a wild way to spend spring break?! Join us for daily enrichment, crafts, keeper chats, animal encounters, and other fun activities throughout the week!

Easter Eggcitement - April  16th, 2022
Hop on over to the Amarillo Zoo for an egg-citing event! Enjoy candy, games, costumed characters, crafts, and much more! Watch our animals get in on the fun with their own Easter themed enrichments!

Earth Day: Thompson Park Clean-up - April 23rd, 2022
Celebrate Earth Day by serving your community! Volunteer to help the Amarillo Zoo clean up Thompson Park. Enjoy some crafts and other activities in zoo that involve conservation topics.

National Zookeeper Week - July 18-24th, 2022
This week is dedicated to raising awareness for the zookeeper profession! Help us share appreciation for our zookeepers and fellow staff!

The Amarillo Zoo is located in Thompson Park. Take Hwy 287 North off of I-40, take the N. 24th Ave. exit and go West, turn right into Thompson Park and follow the signs to the Zoo parking lot.
