Lion Day

July 20th, 2019 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM

You’ve seen the movie now come see the King of Beasts in person. On Saturday, July 20 we will be celebrating and honoring the African lion with keeper chats, Zoofari Discovery Carts and a special kid’s craft tent. Over half of the wild population of lions has been lost since the first Lion King film debuted 25 years ago. Disney is supporting the Wildlife Conservation Network's Lion Recovery Fund and their vision to double the number of lions across Africa by 2050. The Protect The Pride campaign will launch a significant conservation effort for lions and African wildlife conservation to raise awareness of the lion crisis and drive funding and audience participation to help bring lions roaring back.
